Junior Flo Vazquez earned her second Athlete of the Month honor this season after qualifying for the NAIA National Outdoor Championships in the marathon. On Dec. 21, Vazquez, who was the November Female Athlete of the Month for her performance in cross country, ran a personal best 1:31:18 to qualify according to the NAIA's "A" standard. Despite a brief stop during the race, Vazquez was still able to claim fourth place among all female competitors.
