David Butler averaged 17.8 points and 9.5 rebounds in the Eagles' four games during the month of December, coming off the bench in all four contests. The 6-8 junior began the month with a double-double against Flagler (Dec. 2), tallying 24 points and 15 rebounds. After battling through injury to score 15 points on the road against Southeastern on Dec. 12, Butler returned from a two-week Christmas break to put up 20 points in the Eagles' 73-58 win over Wartburg (Dec. 28).  He also had six blocks and two steals in that contest. His final game of the month saw Butler record 12 points, nine boards, five blocks and two assists.
