The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Athletics Hall of Fame
CLASS OF 2009
The Embry-Riddle Athletics Hall of Fame was started in 2008 in celebration of twenty years of Athletics at Embry-Riddle University.
“Our department is honored to have this very important tradition of honoring all the special accomplishments by our student-athletes, teams, coaches and/or distinguished supporters,” Athletics Director Steve Ridder said. “It will become a very important gathering of all inductees, fans and friends of the program.”
The athletics program, which began in 1988, has already created a storied tradition of 60 Sun Conference Championships, 31 NAIA Region XIV titles and 10 consecutive Florida Sun Conference Commissioner’s Cup titles among many other accomplishments.
The inaugural class was inducted to the Athletics Hall of Fame on Saturday, January 31, 2009.
Purpose
The purpose of the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Athletics Hall of Fame is to honor and pay tribute to the sports traditions of this University by giving recognition to former athletic letter winners, teams, coaches and those who have made exceptional contributions to the Athletics program of this University.
