MONTGOMERY, Ala. The fifth-ranked Embry-Riddle Eagles opened their 2012 campaign with a doubleheader split against the No. 13 Warhawks of Auburn Montgomery. ERAU fell victim to a walkoff homerun in the opener, losing 2-1, but the Eagles managed a tremendous bounce back victory with a 15-1 decision in the nightcap. ERAU (1-1) will face No. 21 Southern Polytechnic State (0-0) tomorrow at 11 a.m. (CST).

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Embry-Riddle men's basketball will join other basketball programs around the country in their support of the fight against cancer as the basketball contest between the Eagles and Ave Maria on Jan. 28 has been designated as the program's fifth annual Coaches Fighting Cancer game. In support of the National Association of Basketball Coaches' Coaches vs. Cancer Suits and Sneakers Awareness program, the ERAU coaching staff will wear sneakers instead of dress shoes with their usual game attire and all fans are encouraged to do the same.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The Embry-Riddle Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will be hosting the eighth annual Blue & Gold Gala on Friday, Apr. 20, 2012 at the ICI Center on Embry-Riddle's Daytona Beach campus. The Blue & Gold Gala is ERAU Athletics' primary fundraiser with proceeds going toward supporting ERAU's 17 sports programs and enhancing the overall student-athlete experience. In addition, to supporting student-athlete scholarship, the Athletics administration is hoping to raise funds for technology upgrades in the areas of Academic Enhancement, Sports Medicine, Sports Information and others.
